Huizhong Chen is a Senior Staff Research Engineer at Google DeepMind, Mountain View, California. Huizhong received his Ph.D in the Electrical Engineering Department, Stanford University, under the supervision of
Prof. Bernd Girod. Previously, he completed the B.A. and M.Eng. degrees with First Class honor from the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge, UK, in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
Huizhong's primary research areas are Multi-modal LLMs, particularly on Image & Video Understanding.
Huizhong Chen is a Fellow of the Brown Institute for Media Innovation, and a Kodak Fellow.
